Exobasidium leaf gall
You may see a spongy growth on your azalea and camellia leaves. This is a leaf gall caused by Exobasidium. This fungus while very showy, does only minor cosmetic damage to the leaves. Fungicide applications are not very effective on this disease and are really not needed, but you can pick off the infected leaves and discard them if they are bothering you and making the plant unsightly.
