Boston Ivy Leafspot

« Back to Glossary Index

A dedicated spray program is needed to control cercospora leafspot on Boston Ivy.  Normal rainfall levels increase the spread of this disease as does overhead irrigation.  Overhead irrigation should be eliminated and only drip irrigation used.  Once disease begins it will cause defoliation of the plant.  Leaf regrowth will generally occur during the growing season.  Though the disease is not fatal it can cause heavy defoliation.
